Principal, Penny Chin, CID, ASID, is an award-winning, Interior Designer and General Contractor, that specializes in kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling and interior design for the whole home. She and her team expertly create exactly what the clients seeks for their home remodel or commercial design project.
Penny Chin offers project leadership with architects, structural engineers, and other industry professionals. Her first love is spatial planning which inspired her to be one of the few female general contractors in the state of California.
Our Process
Working with Elements in Design; the process begins with an idea or solution to a space that would serve the homeowners’ tastes and livability better.
During the first consultation, the focus is on wants and needs and vision
the client desires. Elements in Design endeavors to completely
understand every detail. Providing Penny and her Element in Design
Team with inspiration photos is a good place to start. To interpret your
vision, there will be many questions and details about the project
noted.
With the aid of very detailed computer aided drawings and renderings,
the homeowner can see a visual of the completed project before any
construction work begins.
There will be on-site meetings with different trades and subs so that a
proper estimate can be presented. Measurements will be taken,
structural elements will be reviewed and understood, and there will be
a feasibility study to be sure design details and construction can be
successfully executed.
